Another week over

There was a flurry of activity at the corner of the street - it was like a feeding frenzy. Never saw as many of the workers for a long time - but then again - they were finishing up on this estate before moving to the next one.

I foolishly thought we may get notification today as to when the work starts - ho hum , I also believe in the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny - maybe the council should hire them to do the work - would have more chance of it being done then.

If I believed what they have told me the work will start in two weeks time - my biggest fear is that they are going to arrive and say - right we are moving your stuff today - erm I dont think so - I NEED some notice, ok I know most stuff is packed BUT there is the stuff we use everyday . We only have the one sofa now as they had told us to declutter - we did , they also told us that there was no way we could keep our large chest freezer, we got rid of it, they also said we had to chose between a dryer and a dishwasher for space in the kitchen (I opted to have space for the dishwasher - I HATE DISHES - so we got rid of the dryer)

We intend buying new internal doors - we will have them fitted before the work starts - but I have heard that they have wrecked doors in several houses - ah well - they will have to replace what they damage.

And no-one has come back to us regarding the loft yet - not happy about that. The workmen have no respect for anybodies property.
